A couple of "The Only Living Boy in New York" covers, featuring Guilds.

This one is nicely done:

Buffalo Tom did a version on their latest album a few years back. Here are Bill & Chris doing an acoustic version. Chris is a bit rough on his vocals but Bill's JF30, which he seems to have had since the early 90s, sounds great, as always:

I wonder if Paul Simon played a Guild on the original?

Here’s two:

Paul McCrane performing his song from “Fame” many years later on “Harry’s Law” playing the same D25, “Is It OK If I Call You Mine?”

John Denver on his awesome Guild 612 performing “Bells Of Rhmney”

CCR - a few glimpses of Tom Fogarty's Starfire VI (I think) but the band play a ferocious version of their hit.

John Fogarty with an Aristocrat:

While I wrongly posted a vid in the "fav pics of ppl playing guilds" thread, I found an odd one I'll post here.

I was looking for this... Gorgie Fame and the Blue Flames doing Yeh Yeh (good close up on the Guild near the end)

and happened on this...The German Blue Flames. (just how many bands were called the "_____ and Blue Flames" in the 50's/60's??
(a pair of Guilds in this one.)

And weirdest of all. The lyrics are all too familiar for me. Having grown up in a German, then German/American household, I often heard what I would call "Germinglish". :ROFLMAO: Sentences that start in English and finish in German. Or single German words thrown in here and there. If things got heated, straight to German. My 87 yr old mother still speaks fluent Germinglish!

Georgie Fame was and, as far as I know, still is, a good friend of Alan Price. They have worked together on a number of projects. Guitarist Colin Green, who played with Georgie Fame on the Yeh Yeh performance, went on to be Alan Price's guitarist for a number of years, playing the same Guild guitar. Can be seen several times in the movie O Lucky Man.

Or here playing on an Alan Price Georgie Fame collaboration.
