I was sad to read of Mr. Jaffee's passing.
I always enjoyed his work in MAD.
He was one of a stable of really fine artists who drew for the magazine.
My favorites were Frank Kelley Freas, Mort Drucker, Dave Berg, and Wallace Wood.

For caricature, nobody could beat Mort Drucker.

I got to visit the MAD offices as a young man. (The sister-in-law of my girlfiend was William Gaines' neice and she finagled us an invitation.) Gaines gave us a guided tour. In the hallway were the original framed cover paintings for the first 30 or so issues of MAD -- Freas's (one of my favorites too) among them.

Feldstein, the current editor of MAD at the time, was there too. Both he and Gaines signed some of my EC comic reprints, which Russ Cochran had just started issuing. Very memorable day!
