LTG was down when I knew about this sad news and I feel that Bob deserves it: so let me do a little homage to the man behind the strings, to that humble and kind guy with who I exchanged a few lines, almost a year ago, but to who I never had the chance to see live.

Thanks for your work, thanks for everything you gave us, Bob. My condolences to your family.

R.I.P. Bob...

All the best,
B.

I hadn't heard. I always respected& admired Brozman. If anything, reading that obit & hearing the interview detracted from my opinion, but I'm sure I'll get over it.

Darryl,

Nice to see you: I was wondering about you not so long ago... :D

On topic:

Yeah, Bob was such a great guy: an incredible musician, a great man and a tireless researcher of the guitar and her various paths... A great loss. No doubt about it.

A hug & All the best,
B.

One of a kind, tragic painful loss to the entire music world, and I don't think he got nearly the recognition he greatly deserved....Steffan

The Life and Legacy of Bob Brozman: what a great article. The comments, OTOH are a whole different story. I've spent the last two hours reading about all of these (mudcat.org, for instance), and although nothing can be prove right now, you can find strong arguments to believe or not...

I doubted about if I should post this and I'm still doing it, mainly because I like this place and I don't want to screw it up with a topic like this. I did because I liked that article. The comments, as I've said, are another story.

Bruno, things like this are shocking and disturbing. But they happen. There have been plenty of instances where people who were or are innovators and musical geniuses have talent to burn but fail miserably in the "decent human being" category. Many times with great genius there is great agony, and it's expressed in many different ways. We can just stick to his musical legacy and it will probably go better for everyone.
