I got a way better deal on my D55 than I should have.
I would think that anything up to $1750.00 would be a good price, for a pristine used D55
Some will say that a Westerly in excellent condition will be worth more than a Tacoma built.
I can't say.
If you can find one in great condition for under $1500.00, I would call that a great price.
All I know is that I love mine!!!

That guitar looks VERY good. Price... Well, it's probably not unreasonable for that condition.

Yeah this D55 I've got up here for sale is in pristine condition... and I'm picky as heck.

Of course it's no Westerly, but it's a well built Tacoma.

Thanks for the tips. I have been away for 2 weeks and fogot to look at FS/FT. OK - got some thinkin' to do (not to mention some discussion).

Welp, if I were in the market for a D55 and found this Westerly, even if it were a couple of hundred dollars more than I thought I'd be willing to pay, I'd hit the BIN in a heartbeat. It's hard enough to find a D55 in a guitar shop, but a Westerly in pristine condition? Seller has a great seller rating.

If I were going to buy a new one, I'd contact "Guitars of Montana".

I say go for it Tunes.

Peace

Yes indeedy - only these jokers don't believe in shipping to Canada. Also, I am somewhat Westerly-baised, and expect I will hold out for one. There are 2 on the market, one very local (Ontario) and private, and the other listed on eekbay. The fun part is going to be convincing the other half of this team and even though I am not so gainfully employed, this is an OK thing to so. I even sold a watch I owned to fund this purchase!

Tunes,

If you're not stuck on a Westerly D-55, you might want to consider a Tacoma-era D-50. I really liked what I heard at the music store with this model, and it should be available for quite a bit less than a D-55.

I got my heart set on a Westerly. I am working the other half - hard sell time. It's an uphill battle when you don't actually have a job  , but really what a couple grand in the grand scheme of things.

Humour and a few good deeds and I think I'm there - maybe. She's a hard hut to crack - but I still love her.

However, a shop in Georgia has a A++ mint 2000 Westerly that I am in love with too. Decisions, decisions.

Nobody. That's a lot of guitar for the money though... He might work a deal since it didn't go on e-bay...

Guys,

Thanks for pointing these out - but the verdict seems final. No 3rd guitar until I get a job. How unreasonable is that I say. Well that was further than I got when I had a job - so maybe something good came out of this after all.

Darn it - there are some great deals out there. But I guess there will still be deals and D-55's a couple of months down the road.

I'm just gonna have to stop lookin' I guess. I hurts to see these deals go by.

I'm gonna keep tryin ....

Folks,

Interesting turn of events. I recieved a letter from an old employer indicating I might have some funds in a employer matched stock purchase plan. I checked, and sure enough there is a couple of grand sitting there that I must cash out.

Hmmmmm....you all know where this is going .... stay tuned .....

Ready to buy, but seller has set consdition of only shipping to U.S. You gotta be kidding. I have sent a question / ask for a change - hopefully this will be forthcoming.

I missed the other D-55 for sale at Southern Guitars. Someone already scooped it.
