I was waiting anxiously for the UPS truck today. He brought a 1968 Mark VI Hoboken. She is a beauty, I couldn't believe there wasn't a scratch. It looks like it spent it's life in the case. It was just by luck I stumbled on it on Craiglist. The price was more than fair.

Congrats, that one's a beauty! I just passed on one here in NY that was just a little too rough for my tastes; I have enough of 'em that are cosmetically challenged already. I hope to find a Mark VI or VII (or even one of Carlo's knockoffs) somewhere along the way.

Beautiful guitar, SF! I couldn't be happier for ya.. :D

I'm impressed with it's condition, considering the age. Doesn't appear to be a Mark on it. No pun intended....

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. This guitar does not have a scratch on it. The man that I bought it from, bought it in 1969 from the original owner, who only had it for a year. I'll betcha this guitar hasn't come out of case in 40 years. The case is in the same condition as the guitar.

I like to get a good deal as much as the next guy. But I think I got a really good deal. I've seen Mark III's, in the same shape, sell for what I paid for the VI.

Right now I am trying to compare my Westerly Mark V to the VI. I will report back on that in a day or two.

Beautiful... that Rosewood back is droolworthy! If she sounds as good as she looks you found a very special guitar.

For what it's worth, I think you made a fantastic deal for a Hoboken Mark VI in, what appears to be near mint condition.

Well done, sir. Looking forward to your side by side review with the Mark V.
