I was checking out the photo's of your DV52NT-HG,which by the the way is a beautiful guitar! My question to you or any one else on the forum is what are the difference's between the 94 DV52 and my 95 DV6-NT-HG? They look very similar except for the pick guard!

Most important difference is probably DV6=Mahogany back/sides and rosewood fretboard/bridge, DV52=Rosewod B/S, ebony fretboard/bridge. Also some '52's had abalone in the rosette and other little construction upgrades.
Guild model numbers generally designate a specific combination of woods, but even basic specifications could change over time. Makes it "interesting". So the vintage of a given model is always relevant when trying to figure out what it "should" be.
Here's a useful but by no means comprehensive site: Westerlyguildguitars.com.
It's a nice gallery but since there's only one sample of each model, the specs on a model from a different year than shown there may be different.

Thanks Adorshki, being new to Guild guitars myself I'm glad someone knew the answer to that question. I really love seeing all the different guitars posted on this forum. I'll have to update mine by adding pics of the back and sides.....slow944s

You're welcome! That variation in specs was most likely to occur when models had long production runs or went in and out of production. Some models were pretty short lived and so were pretty much the same across the run. After I said "westerlyguildguitars" is a nice gallery but it only has one sample of any given model", I should have added "That's where WE come in".
I learned most of what I know about Guilds here, even though I bought all mine brand new! Your contributions are appreciated!

I agree, all the information I have found and am still finding about Guild's has been on this forum. Why is that? I am one who can never discover enough about the guitar's I own. I search out as many resources I can find, but have had hard time finding books or archives on Guild's. I have found this forum to be very helpful and being able to see actual photo's of the different styles and models makes me want to add more Guild's to my small collection of guitars. Keep the pics coming! They are inspirational, but they also give you GAS,which my wallet hates.
