I had Pete make a "P-90-ish" pickup for a '65 X-50 yeaers ago. I wanted to replace the "Mickey mouse" pup. It sounded great, and he was great to work with. No longer have the guitar, so I'm going by memory!

Thanks man! My guitar has a story....
I bought this Starfire IV used in Chicago in 1974. They didn't have the original case, so they threw in a Gretsch case which fits perfectly.
Sometime in the 70’s this guitar was stolen from my house, and a year after the burglary I stopped in a pawn shop and lo, there was my guitar. The clerk lent me a cord so I could play it plugged into an amp. I checked the serial number, EL-1062, and told him thanks, this is my stolen guitar, I’m going to call the cops now.
When the insurance adjustor met me at the police station, he reminded me I had been paid for the loss, so I needed to buy the guitar back from the insurance company. Then he said it must have lost value in a year, and couldn’t possibly be worth the $1500 it had been insured for. He ended up selling it back to me for 100 bucks. That was one cool dude.
