My local shop had a Tacoma DV4 for almost 2 years now, they got it in just after i bought my DV6. Boy I really second guessed myself for awhile - the mahogany sound was - addictive. Not wanting to trade mine in and take a big hit financially. I went to work on a friend who is mainly into electrics.

The guitar did not move, I kept checking back, playing it, calling him - amazed that it hadnt been snapped up (outglitzed by all the taylors in the shop, no doubt).

It went on sale in October for about 60% of list. I called him on the 29th and told him it was going off sale in two days and he will really regret not making the 70 mile drive to give it a whirl.

long story short - he made the drive, plunked down the $ (not much over 5 bills!!!) he called later that night and went on and on about the sound and the screaming deal (this is a guy of few words). When I mentioned that the new ones were made south of the border he wasn't suprised - marvelling at how they could have made this guitar in the US and kept it under a grand.

Another convert, and satisfied customer. Now where's my commission?

Sometimes I even give myself a warm round of apathy. :? and I don't care how hard that is to do.. :D .
By the way did you know Wavey Gravey once had 'nobody' run in the US presidency race...The platform was based on the idea of not breaking promises, and said that Nobody was the only one who would keep them......i.e. Who is going to lower your taxes?.......Who is going to stop the war in Vietnam..... Who is.......???
From what I understand Nobody got quite a few votes......and I guess got a lot of people thinking.......this was in the 70s of course....Wavey was the clown In Woodstock that was looking ovet the kids, while their parents were otherwise 'occupied' He was quite the character, and just a bit of a radical, under the red nose...Steffan

I met Wavy once. He managed to secure the facilities of a local park for a day festival in our unsuspecting little town. Although the festival was allowed to run its course he was invited to never return....
