Glad I got to see him live. Big fan since I "discovered" him in the late 70s/early 80s.

Hard to believe he was only 88. My piano teacher turned me on to PDQ Bach well over 60 tears ago. RIP.

I was thinking the same thing, 'Strang. He must have been very prolific in his youth because I played a lot of his stuff (on trumpet, that is) in the '70s.
