Tony,

Welcome to LTG! I'm glad you decided to list your guitars out here where the Guild folk roam. I'm sorry my trade offer didn't work for you as I would love to have your X-700, but perhaps another member will choose to bring it into our family. Good luck!

I'm the seller. Tony here... I do question my sanity ... everyday. I just retired and I need new ball joints. Just had 2 in the neck done in October 2015 and need 2 in the lower back in Feb 2016. That's what a life of hard work got me but I successfully supported my family. The extra $ will come in handy just in case. Recovery will be some time. I play again but it will take a while. Yes, I got a herd.

So, that is why I priced the X700 so low. Even though I did not play it, I was full of pride to have it in my possession. The build and woods are spectacular to see in the flesh... kinda like a work of art.

So, it's a conscious and sane decision on my part. With the prices I have been seeing for X700's, I felt it would be a very attractive offer. If any of the members here are interested, I can do another discount of $125.00. More than that, I would truly be insane. Feel free to contact me. TonyC

Beautiful guitar. I've just recently started to have serious remorse over getting rid of my Starfire maybe a year or two ago. That was an awesome sounding guitar with a cool vibe, I'll have to pick up another someday. It sounds like you're at peace with your decision, so good on ya. I'm the kind of guy where if I'm not playing it, I don't really hold onto it, so I can sympathize with that.

Ok, I just pulled the X700 from E-bay. I discovered, I am nuts! Guild made, I believe, 214 of the X700 Stuarts and their best year was 1996. So, I'm holding onto it until I can get an appropriate price. Way too nice a piece to let it go cheap. I certainly do appreciate the encouragement and friendly advice I received here.

I look forward to establishing myself in this venue as there are so many fine and honorable members here. T
