Ostoff SD 12-fret

On today's playlist. This is the acoustic guitar that I am completely bonded to. I've had it for 15 years now and it fits like a glove physically as well as sonically. I hold it above all my other acoustics. It's sort of a cross between a Gibson AJ and a Martin 12-fret D-18. It has that Gibson woody tone that's well balanced, but it has the volume and punch of a Martin, but with less boom. John Osthoff really knows his stuff.

He does build amazing guitars for sure. My lone 12 fretter is a wonderful Martin 000-17SM, and it's all I need. Light as a feather, super resonant, and amazing projection for its size. Why Martin discontinued it, I'll never know.

It's so good that I forgive it for being a slothead.
