Well , how to start ?
I really should hold off for a few weeks on this as a NGD is coming . I'm just not sure exactly when and it will play a factor in the short run.
So I'll be selling off something not that I want to or have to but I need my new poormans surround sound speakers to help finish off my entertainment center . I mean it's a must right !? Otherwise why build it ? Said in a other worldly voice , If you build it new speakers will come . Lol
I'm rotating around everyday the 3 orchestra models I have and its become kind of difficult to decide what to keep and which one to sell. Now I do have the CO-2 up for sale and yeah I'm asking tad bit more then normal for it but I feel it's really worth it and curse that dang red sticker ! Along with the bad rap these guitars got.
So I kind hate talking about this here because I get the feeling many are one-sided , at least here and I certainly don't want to upset anyone with my expressing my views or takes on the guitars in my hands but let's carry on .... Lol
So to name the 3 which most know already are the ,
F30rce 2013
Contemporary CO-2 2006 or close ?
Blueridge BR 283A 2016
And Guitar X in a month I hope but we can't count that yet obviously .
Each guitar is great no fibbing about that .
I have to say as of this moment I've fell in love again with the Co-2 . It's just sounds sweet defined with sparkle and sustain along very good overtones .
The top keeps drawing my attention with the Silking and a we bit of bear claw . I've not seen a lot of Adirondack tops with these features .
She is a very sweet guitar .
The BR283A is very similar but it has a very big sound more like a dread not the same tone of coarse but closer then most the OM's I've played . The whole guitar vibrates heavily feeling more like a dread in that aspect . Great over tones not quite as glassy as the CO-2 but close .
I was having issues with low E definition it sounded kind of dull / muddy . I'm pretty sure I mentioned to that in a post but maybe not here lol stupid brain !
Playing her now it's like totally different , what happened ? IDK ... Being a 2016 bought just a few months back she was sold as unplayed and it certainly seemed that way . Maybe she starting to open up , Adirondack is known for taking a lot longer to break in then Sitka and Cedar.
The F30RCE
Now she's sweet as well but much warmer then the other two . Her overtones are very nice and like to be very subtle . She's certainly a lady of charm and discipline and let's forget well balanced .
They each have 1 3/4 nuts the Guilds have the 12" radius fretboard and the Blueridge has a 16 " radius.
I'm not sure to string spacing at the moment but I think the Blue has the widest at least it feels that way then comes the CO-2 then F30 . Now just going by feel and comfort .
For some reason I like the CO more as to the comfort over the F3O and for the life of me I don't know why that is as they should be the same .
The Blue is good but just has a different feel . I'd have to measure them I guess .
Ok so to end I think I have Adirondack on the brain at least in this case . So that leaves my long awaited F30rce seemingly on the chopping block .
So I have time and will keep rotating as often as I can until the new one shows up and can get thrown in the fray . Lol
Enjoy your weekend
