Hello my Dear Folks!:

Dizzy Gillespie is the man who leaded me into Jazz, through Bebop. Dizzy is one of my favourites musicians...

A few months ago I found this video, and I had not realized about the guitar that Rodney Jones was playing... I mean, I saw the guitar, but in somehow I had not been aware about it was a Guild    :D ...

Anyway, here is the link: Dizzy Gillespie, 1978

Anybody knows wich model is the one that Rodney is playing?. I've searched a little bit, but I've not been able to find anything... Just curious :D

Thanks in advance! & All the best,

B.

Looks like he's playing so fast that he's blown the TRC right off of that thing!

I had the great pleasure of meeting and talking with Dizzy in his dressing room after a show in the early 80's. I was in High School and my girlfriend at the time had an inside track through the Canadian Brass.

Anyway, I was in awe as I was a trumpet player at the time and I loved (still do) that man's ability. Too bad I didn't know about Guilds then, would have been kewl to have remembered seeing that as well. I guess I could always say I did.

Well my dear George:

I agree with you, but I think I saw the link a little bit late and even more important, I don't have money right now. I'm always looking around, just for the pleasure of making some GAS 8) Someday, someday I will have the money and I will start a collection of beauties as some of my dear LTGer fellows do :D Louise, I'm sure, was the first step into the wonderful guitar's world :D Thanks for the link!
