@SouthernSounds, Yeah, they're fun to look at, right?

@Bill Ashton -- 61 was my initial guess. I bet you're right. How do you like that amp, btw?

Kslam, unfortunately I have played it very little since I got it almost a year ago...for just a short while after I got it home from repair, one summer afternoon on the front porch with my GAD acoustic/electric, and last Friday night when going over some songs I thought I might be playing with my son's band (with a Classic 60's strat)...

It has a sound not disimilar to my 66-J, although it does dirty up when you start cranking it...not sure if it is the old Oxford giving it up or what, will have to sub a Jensen C12R I have to see for sure. The catalog says 30 watts and that is about right, it could keep up with my son's DRRI if it had to, probably cleaner. Got a really good tone for the Tom Petty stuff using an OCD for just a little boost.

Not sure if I have power transformer troubles or not, that...along with family problems that started about the same time I got it...not amp related...are why it has sat...am going to drop it off at a friend's, who recently got a Carr Rambler...cathode biased 6L6's without negative feedback for both, be interesting to see how they contrast...I am sure the Guild must be grittier.
