I know you guys want to show off your guitar-related presents that you got (or gave) over the holiday. Let's see 'em!!!!

(I don't do gifts over the holidays, but I bought a bunch of sunglasses for myself, shown in another thread...)

Well, there's plenty of guitar in it, but I got one main gift that I've been coveting: the Super Deluxe box set of Who's Next.

Nothing music related this year. We've been trying to get the kids not to give us gifts anymore, but they can be stubborn. At least the gifts were small this year - a calendar, a hoodie, a gift card for artisanal coffee.

We do Hanukkah so yesterday is a nice restful day for us, not much going on. This time of year is historically tight for us, so we only get gifts for the kids. However, we got our eldest home from college for break, so she gonna watch the younger ones as I take Nic out for dinner tonight. That will be a gift, believe me. Her fave cuisine too, Greek. It's the season we are in, but I am looking forward to just talking and listening and just spending time together on a date. We don't get too many of those...And my goal friends is to listen a lot more than I talk tonight.

This is the in-law Christmas year. My son and his partner fly in tomorrow. My oldest and her family are an hour south in the big city. The present opening starts Thursday. I would be surprised to get anything guitar or music related, but if I do I will certainly post it here.

Nothing as spiffy as that, but I got a gadget to speed up rehabbing my chisels, some water-based wood pore filler, and some green dye.

Surprises never cease. We had family Christmas yesterday and just when I decided that I had everything guitar related that I would ever want or need, my wife came up with this and snuck it under the tree. Got to love the bass player to know what she's looking at when she sees the MF stupid deal of the day. It is something I wouldn't have bought for myself, which is nice. So now I can blast my amp in the basement from every room in the house. Actually, it will come in real handy playing outside in the summer.

A little late to the party here, because for various reasons we couldn't celebrate until last night. My girl as usual totally outdid herself. Behold the Sandy bobblehead, seen here with John Stirratt, and our Guild Starfire basses. They even got the Bisonic pickup right (if not the headstock)! LOL
