Hey guildman, that is a beauty! What color is that finish? Looks too dark to be "sunburst", unless its just the lighting. I love it!

The label simply says X-500 SB. I have heard it described as violin sunburst, but I think officially it is just sunburst. The back is even sweeter...

The pictures of the guitar as it was listed on Gbase appeared much brighter...

but the actual color is like the darker picture above, which was taken in natural sunlight.

The darker color was a pleasant surprise, but there were a few issues with the guitar that were withheld from me when making the deal with Redbone Guitar Boutique in San Antonio that were just a surprise. They were very accommodating and pleasant to deal with, but when asked about the finish and the electronics I was told everything was "pristine" aside from a few minor dings in the top (which are in fact very minor), and that it was in full working order. That wasn't exactly the case, and it did take some work to get everything in order, but it looks pretty darn good now. The neck may need a reset in the not too distant future, but for now it sounds great.

Hi Al; I think the labels like him because his fans buy his CDs, attend his concerts, and friend him on Facebook. :D
True enough, but there wouldn't be any product to sell if he couldn't produce like a milk cow.
With just as much excitement. :D
For balance however, I agree with everything Guildman63 said, just like Hideglue. Every new guy's gotta start somewhere. And a lot of guys p---ed off their labels when they quit making "commercial" stuff, AFTER they got established.
