Does anyone here have any experience with Lollars in an NS X-175? Routing, pickguard, pots, sound etc…
you know all the stuff you guys are so good about, but, I never seem to think about until I’m way over my head in a new project.

It'll sound good with two Lollar P90's, but it'll sound like a Gibson. Great sound, but hotter and darker than Guild pickups, and your amp will run out of clean headroom faster.

It will also take a little tinkering to fit them because the mounting system is different. The easiest way to mount a Gibson style P90 on a Guild that has Franz pickups is to mount the P90 coils on the Franz baseplates - not as complicated as it might sound. The two screws on the bottom of the baseplate hold the coil/magnet assembly together.

I should’ve known that you’d be the one with answers to this. Thanks so much.
