This is my winter of trying out different type instruments. I posted recently about a Gold Tone Mando Guitar I'd bought. That thing is a ton of fun and I'll be keeping her.
This newest one is a Savannah Resonator Dobro type guitar I picked up on Ebay. (1st instrument I've bought there in a long time-Reverb has taken over that market at least for me). I know nothing about the brand but under $300 shipped it's from China of course. But, so is Blueridge and Eastman and others and they are fine sounding instruments. This one is black (which I love), set neck, pickup of some type with volume and tone control knobs. It plays just fine out of the box, unplugged sounds just fine and the build quality looks to be pretty darned good. I haven't plugged it in yet (later today). It may squeal like a pic but we'll see.
Next on the list is the GT 500 Gold Tone Banjo Guitar but that will need to wait for a bit.
Here's a couple pics of the Savannah. It's dark and cold here today so the pics aren't great but you can get the idea.
