Thanks Everyone! Glad the pics are finally working like they should. Wood, It is quite hard not to stare at it for what seems like an eternity in person. Last night after I took the photos and got the pups to bed I had some me time with the guitar. I fully intended to play it for a good while with the new EXP17 strings I had just put on it. (It came with Elixer nanowebs and between the guitars natural overtones and the Elixers you couldn't tell where one chord stopped and another started, LOL). I got comfortable, Sat down and got ready to play and then zoned out when I picked it up looking at all the small details. I was trying to comprehend the couple of hundred hours it must have taken to make it and the amount of precision that was involved in all of the hand work. An hour later I strummed my first chords, LOL. Today I am still getting lost in the beauty of it. Trust me though, When you play it, you zone out all over again! LOL, I'm going to try to get a clip tonight when I get everything settled down around the house.:single_eye:

I believe it is an older Fishman UST Setup. No tone or volume controls. I'll plug it in and let you know how it sounds.

That is one of the most beautiful objects I've seen. Much more than just the most beautiful guitar I've seen. That, sir, is one of most beautiful things I've seen.

Thanks GJ, I completely agree with you. It took me a good 30 minutes to actually pick it up and play it because my mind kept telling me to "Keep your hands to yourself and stay behind the red line at all times, Do Not Touch The Artwork!" LOL

First off it has a Beautiful silked spruce top that that I believe to be Engelmann. If anyone like Ralf or Hans knows different please feel free to let me know.
I can ask Chris about the specs, the big question is will he remember after all those years? Give me a couple of days.

Please do Ralf, I really appreciate it. If you would, Could you ask him if he made any other Guild acoustics during that time period? I would be very interested to know. Thanks to all who have posted and I promise I will get a clip up shortly. Woke up this morning intending to do it and had a Refrigerator go down for the count. Spent all day finding the right repair guy that had the proper relay on his truck. Just got finished a little while ago. Made for a great Black Friday!
