@Cougar I'll be damned. I'd swear I took these measurements at some point and I got it into my head that we were at 4" depth these days, but I'm clearly wrong.
My 2006 F-512 measures slightly over 4-1/2". My 2007 F-412 measures almost exactly 4-3/4". See pix below, respectively.
Cougs, can you remeasure your Tacoma F-412? I suspect your F-412 is 4-3/4", not 5". But clearly you were right; this is definitely not 4"!!!
I think this is narrower than the mid-90s JF-30-12 I used to have, which I think was 5", but I'm not at all sure.

Well, here are some dimensions that I took 15 years ago. The 4" number that was stuck in my head were from a 1971 F-50R that I owned for a few years at that time.

F512 Specifications
Took a tape measure to the F512 to get some basic info today. Body length: 20.5" Body width at widest part of lower bout: 17" (slightly larger, actually, but not worth discussing) Body depth at heel strap button: 4.5" Scale (nut edge to saddle edge): 25.5" I'm interested in my depth...
