A most excellent MGD indeed. I have it's maple b/s sibling from 2009 and it is an excellent guitar. Elegant, classy, yes lightly built, and not without its share of volume and tone. Great score! I bet that thing sings!

"... a guitar of haunting tonal beauty, with a lusty resonance..." The ad writers back in the day had a way with flowery descriptions!

Great review of the tonal variations of acoustic guitar tone woods! Congratulations on a fine acquisition. (y)

That Iced Tea Burst is just something else.
The whole guitar is something else! It's my first maple body and first Guild cutaway. When I first posted it on LTG is stated that the intonation was off on the 12 fret B string. Well now that the strings have settled for 6 weeks the intonation is spot on even the B string and I've reconfirmed that it was seldom taken out of the case; 2 small marks on the sound board, neither through the finish and a couple of small marks on the back, have to reflect light just a certain way to see them. I do love the volume of this size and now GG has me looking at my priority listing of purchasing my next Guild. My Envy light is glowing GG. Again, Congrats on that sweet Rosewood beauty.:D
I just have to recover from the purchase of the F-47MC and a 1996 F-30R one month apart.

Congrats ! I need to try them again one day . The ones I had and played I couldn’t bond with though I’m happy others can ! 😊
One thing that would help is a 1 3/4 nut . 😊
