Hi,
I have a 1969 F-30 with what looks like a 25" scale. I'm measuring from the nut to the bridge. And if this is correct what would this be considered? A short or long scale.
Thanks

How are you measuring? Since the saddle is slanted, you should measure from the nut to the saddle along the high e string; the low e string will give a longer result. For a 60s F-30 it should be a little over 24-3/4". They did start with the longer 25-1/2" scale in the 70s, maybe they switched earlier, depending on when they shifted production to Westerly. I don't know of any 25" scale, but, you never know.

I learned to measure from the nut to the 12th fret and then double it for scale length.

Of course, if the bridge and/or saddle is misplaced...but then the intonation would be off.
