Isn't that the model that @walrus had? I'm pretty sure. Anyway, congrats on both. They're both incredible!! (y)(y)

I have Walrus's -- one of the two or three best Guilds I own.

These seem to be quite rare -- Andrew's is one of the few others I've ever seen. Not many made? Owners don't let 'em go?

Walrus's was a factory second. There are two cracks in the maple back that appear to have been repaired by Guild before it left the factory. (The strip of wood they cleated the interior of the cracks with is similar to the center strip wood they used in all their flatbacks -- the strips that have "Guild" stamped or burned into them.)

Anyway, congrats Andrew -- another great addition to the horde!

Great find Wagner. There really is something special about the big maple guild guitars. Espeically ones that are 30-50 years old. They are not bright, thin, punchy, like most people think a maple will sound, thats newer or from another company. Maybe we can lead others to the light?ha But its also cool that, real guild guys, see past the maple sterotypes, like its our little secret sort of.haha

Wagner, that D64 is absolutely gorgeous. I especially the mosaic strip between the 2 back panels is a beautiful continuation of the center of the 3 piece neck. It just looks so continuous for the entire length of the back so much more than the Rosewood D66 which I have. I also am enjoying my first Maple guitar. For my whole owning / playing history I've preferred Rosewood or HOG for the warmth and depth of the sound by comparing them only to Gibson Maple. It wasn't until I came here to LTG this past August that I realized that Guild made such beautiful Maple bodies and many here raved about them. Another on is on my short list.
Good luck with them both and I'm sure they will get some wonderful play time🎶🎵🎶

My '72 G37 maple archback has really mellowed and developed a deeper voice over time
