So, I still had one empty wall hanger and wanted to find something I had never tried, that looked good and that was affordable. This MIJ Angelica from the 70's came up on the local CL so I snatched it. Looks like a SJ 200 Std. wannabe to me. But, it works for me so it's all good. I've recently sold all my Gibsons except a RW AJ, a Maple AJ (I'll take those to the grave with me) and a Dove which I'll likely sell soon.

Pretty sure it's Sitka Spruce soundboard, and Maple back and sides, RW fingerboard (nice inlays) and bridge, nicely bound fingerboard and headstock.

Some of this MIJ gear is actually quite good. I've owned a few MIJ Strats and Teles that had nothing to apologize for and I've owned several others as well.

The strings were old and rusted and I broke the high E tuning it up. But they needed to be changed anyway and they seem like lights to me which I for sure hate on any of my Dreads or Jumbos.

Here's a few pics.

Many of those 70’s MIJ guitars are quite nice for the short money they typically run. Play on Richardsan !
