Ha, no not likely, even if you do it yourself and get good deals on the materials. For pricing reference, here in Southern California, I recently replaced all of the cheap hollow interior doors that we inherited with nice solid knotty alder craftsmen doors. Bought the material for 7 bare slab doors with hardware at $350 each. The outfit I bought from, they recommended a few local door guys/contractors. I called on them, one couldn't do it for 6 months, the other never called back, the 3rd came by that day and quoted me. So I hired him, lol. Anyhow, I (and mainly my wife) were happy with the work he did, and used same contractor to replace a bay window with a flat panel. The door project he charged $225 each(each slab needed to be drilled and custom fit to opening) and he brought along a helper. Same thing on the window, I bought the window direct, had him install it. The window was $400, he charged me $650 to install it, (also with a helper). So roughly $5,000 I think I got everything done and no qualms. Not sure how those prices relate around the country, but now go figure, my bathroom remodel is where I'm trying to be cheap and do it myself, lol. Wish me luck!

20 windows, a door, and a slider door. I'm going to make sure they foam around all the windows and doors. Should be nice and tight for winter.

We’re finishing up the rehab of our downstairs after a minor flood. We were really lucky the low point led to the bathroom and not stereo electronics and guitars. Next are barn doors for the front hall closet. Last is the upstairs bathroom. Next year we tackle the landscaping. It’s going to be perfect by the time we kick off and the kids sell.

Without knowing the source or location of your flooding, I might ask whether landscaping needs to be a higher priority (since good landscaping can divert water from an area and thus keep it outside of the house)?

It was a frozen pipe so we could have avoided it by unhooking the hose but it’s one of those things we had always gotten away with. Pretty mild winters in SE CT.
