Hi all. I am done with heavy guitars first of all! I have a standard Epiphone Casino (made in China I guess). I like the weight, or lack of weight, I like the scale length. Pickups are microphonic I think. Every little rattle and hum comes out through them.
I am thinking of a Guild Starfire III as the Guild trem/vibrato (Bigsby style in general) would appeal, and it's fully hollow. Only thing is the Epi Casino has a tuneomatic bridge, which is a lot different in feel to the bridges you'd find on the Starfire.
Last question. Anyone ever stick a Guild vibrato system on a reissue / modern T50 slim? Could it work? A Bigsby or Guild trem unit?

The Newark Street Starfire III is fitted with a pinned (so it doesn't move) tune-a-matic style bridge so you'd be all set if that's what you prefer. As for the T-50, the B-6 type Guildsby should fit and work just fine.
