Ive put the pickguard on and perhaps rather regretted it.
Suggestions re strings ( the neck is set to light/meds and I have no tech available where I live - Kuwait - so have to make sure the tension won't shift the neck if I go to a heavier gauge) and whether L R Baggs or Fishman (both are available) would be welcome.

I have the new one which I don't think is as pretty. What do ppl think about strings - I currently use Elixir mediums.

Welcome to the forum. Don't really know what kind of sound you like, but I enjoy 80/20s with my hog guitars. I prefer either EXPs or John Pearse. I always was under the impression that Kuwait is a rather arid place. With this in mind, I would highly suggest a sound hole humidifier and keep the guitar in its case when not in use.

I also like D'Addario EXP16 strings on my Guild dreads. Gauges are .012 to .053
