After many years away from Guild acoustic guitars, I am the new, proud owner of a 1978 D-50. Bought my first Guild in 1980, a D-35. Regret ever selling it. I,m happy to be a Guild owner again and happy to be a member of this forum. :)

Welcome, Roger.
I wish I still had all the Guilds I've sold but I love the ones I have right now....and can't wait to see which one comes next!!
You'll like it here so stay tuned and stay in tune.

I too have just bought a Guild - my ex took the Martin D28 in the divorce settlement and I travelled to Paris to get a C0-1 -cedar and mahogany, nice rich sound and a worthy successor. I have to say, I'm really pleased with it. I did like the old headstock design which I think is now reserved for the Chinese made models, I have the new one which I don't think is as pretty. What do ppl think about strings - I currently use Elixir mediums.
here she is...
