OK...I'll just say it now, it's a '53 Martin 00-18. I found it on Craigslist in Nashville and a friend played and checked it out yesterday. It passed with flying colors. Not sure if it's been around the world but it sure has been around the block. It has lots of character (don't we all). It's also had a recent neck reset and has been refretted. I'll have more pictures once it arrives here...last picture is a close up on the character...when the current owner got it it had an over-sized pickguard that was starting to peel up. He decided to take the old one off and replace with a new one that is appropriate for the guitar. Under the old pickguard he found the reason the larger one had been installed. Thing for me is that I'm getting it to play, not display. I did try to get info on an old F30 but never heard back from the seller...I think this 00-18 will be quite happy here and I'm looking forward to getting to know it. This will be my first mahogany/spruce guitar and I really like the 00 size. joan
