Saw that in my email as well, first thought was are these made in the U.S. Iike the new Kim Thayil S100? That would be exciting news, but alas, too bad they aren't and the news to me anyway is meh.

I was kind of surprised to see this too. I love the color and the inlays. The Starfire III Dynasonic (Sorry, Walter - Guild's name) also comes in a new color called Dark Emerald, not to be confused with Guild's other new green called Fjord Green for the NS X-175 Manhattan Special.

Am I correct to think the Newark Street guitars, including this new Starfire VI model, are still made in Korea?

Given recent history with the S100 I fear not but we'll see when a label and/or serial number becomes visible. At that price I'd hope so.

There is a contradiction in the publicity about the SF 3 : In the beginning it is mentioned to be sweetwater exclusive. Later on it is " available through any authorised dealer"...

Kingswood green... Very cool to see colors like this.

OK, so anyone confused about the colors available out there? :) :) I guess that's a good problem to have. All I know is I probably won't be around in 40 years to debate what the color looked like when the guitar was new. :) Fjords, emeralds, and the King's woods... all good to me! :D

Yes, both the new Starfire III Dynasonic and the Starfire VI Special are still made at SPG in Korea.

However as usual the new Starfire I DC California Burst is made at P.T. Samick in Indonesia.

Got this in my in box as well. Not long after I pulled the trigger on a SFII ST Dynasonic. That Kingwood green is nothing short of deelish.. with that gold hardware and white DS pickups. That is a classy looking axe...
