Did you all notice the up and coming scamming technique in CL?
I placed a few ads recently and already had a bunch of these coming through my e-mail, so for your education and as a heads up if nothing else, here it goes:
It is no longer the "mover" sent out to pick up the "item" with a cashiers check for an amount superior to the value of the item, which was not a problem as they kindly trusted you to give the difference back to the mover in question upon pick up of "item"...
Now they say (and in a much improved English I must say) stuff like that (copied and pasted from actual e-mail):
"You must read this if youre legit and go through my direction. My photos and cell phone # are placed on my discreet profile so if you take delight in what you see then find my # and text/call me right away. This is the ONLY way to stop pyschos and to verify you're a non dangerous man esp. since I want to host at my house. I'm not a phony so stop questioning me. If you think Im not real then move on. I am a creative chick in bedroom so rather tell you over the phone what I am trying to find in a guy rather than wasting my time and writing here. I just hope youre the real deal too! xoxo "
Added to that, were a couple of pics of what appeard to be a very beautiful lady in a bikini sunbathing, and of course a link, which is always supposed to get you where you need to be to capture the contact information which will allow you to proceed with the sale inquiry. (Their sale that is)
Since I'm not completely senile yet I have not clicked on any of these links, which is probably why my PC is still up and running, unless it was intended to get you into the next step of the scam, but I don't care to finding this out.
Ahhh the fun never stops!
