Greetings all. I am back on this site after not being here for many years. I have not owned a Guild in many years but just purchased a D60. I owned one of these a while back, it was pretty beat up and I sold it, but I never forgot how good it sounded. Since then, I owned a D66 that was a wonderful guitar, but it just didn’t quite have with the D60 had. Although I have had a bunch of Guilds, I have not owned one for a long time. Just getting along with my Martin and my Gibson’s. But when I found this one on Reverb, it just kept calling me. So I grabbed it. So glad I did. It sounds tremendous, piano like, and wonderful. Here she is in the first position with the rest of the harem…

Hans... love it..
Welcome, Al Pike! That is indeed a line up that covers more than all of the bases. That D60 is superb-looking and really the prettiest of the bunch IMO. Glad you tracked one down!

Welcome back, Al! I'm new here, but really appreciating this forum. Mostly I'm appreciating older Guild guitars! They are well made, sound great, and play even better. I picked up my first one months ago and I'm really impressed. Now I'm on the prowl.

Welcome back, @Al Pike and thanks for showing us your. lovely D-60. Looks great!

What's the guitar next to the baby Taylor?
Thanks Chazmo! That is my “beater” a 1986 Washburn D15m mahogany/mahogany plywood.. The southern jumbo is not the usual spruce/mahogany. It is a 2007 custom shop spruce/rosewood built under the tutelage of Ren. Seventh guitar built on the seventh day of the seventh month of 2007. I did own a southern jumbo spruce/ mahogany that did not compare. Either did the J45 that was once in the stable.

Those are cool Grot! I did have a bass many moons ago. That would be me playing it (although electric, and not a Guild) in 1968 with my band “The Trojan Horse”.

But--but... there's no jumbo! 😁 Or 12-string for that matter.

Still, very nice group! Major congrats and HNGD!
