Welcome! Stick around - nice folks around here.

The electric players will be along shortly with some suggestions.

Hello Daddy-R,

Welcome! That's a Guild CE-100D-Bl (or a CE-100B-DP depending on the exact year) from the first years of the '60s.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Welcome to LTG! Those are great photos. What was the name of your band?

By the way, Post #3 is from Hans Moust, who wrote the book on vintage Guilds... literally! It is the most authoritative answer that you'll receive to your question.

Thanks a lot guys ! That was almost too quick ! Been looking for this info for 40 years ! Was a great guitar - too good for a 3=chord slinger like me; I switched back to bass around "68, better fit. The band was the Ivees (guess 'cause there were 4 (IV) of us, mostly Jimmy Reed, Tommy Tucker "60's Doo-Wop, Chuck Berry, lot's of I VIm IV V7, , fun stuff we kept busy. - I could handle it o.k., I wanted to play bass but I had a better guitar and reverb and played better guitar then the guitar player, I showed him stuff on my Kay bass and we went from there. After basic training I got back and was more or less kicked out of the band, but got back to bass in a trio in "68
