New Member, 1998/99 Starfire IV?

Hey my name is Charlie and I just joined LTG yesterday, I purchased my Starfire IV about a year ago and I'm trying to figure out if it has the HB1, SD1, or fender knock-off pickups. The pickup rings are the HB1 measurements, but that is very misleading or not very helpful as you all know. I also tried dating the serial number and it would seem mine falls in a year where the recorded data was lost or misplaced, but also based on that I believe it to be a 1998 or 99 model. I know the most surefire way to check the pickups is to detach the pickup rings from the body, but as it is strung right now I do like to play it quite often. So I guess my question is does anyone know an easier way to verify short of de-tuning and dismounting the pickup rings? Thanks in Advance!

Welcome! Just go ahead and give me the serial number (or send it to me in a private message) and I should be able to tell you what pickups are supposed to be in that guitar.
