Bill - My GAD came the same way, as did the Eastman, you register on line. I guess the assumption is that you have an internet connection. You can download the instruction manuals to hard copy if you want.

Joan - Have had multiple operations for trigger finger and all turned out excellent. Currently have a trigger right middle finger, no comments necessary but undoubtedly there will be some  , and surgeon is treating it with a splint and a topical prescription anti-inflammatory (Voltaren) that is working well. Have other forms of tendonitis which means that finger picking is out, strumming only. As for the fretting hand can't stretch as well as I used to, no more G7 any more which I used to do routinely as part of the C progression. I can sympathize.

Tony - Welcome to the Board. This may seem crazy but give a jumbo or mini-jumbo a try. The narrow waist can make the difference. The first jumbo I tried I bought (the GAD below) and now they are my shape of choice. For the record I am not exactly a behemoth (5'5") with bilateral tennis elbow and the tendonitis issues listed above. Just try as many different shapes in person so you can see how well they fit. Personally I have found the wide classical neck does not suit me anymore, and the 1 11/16" is best for playing comfort, though I can handle 1 3/4".

spiderman,
I plan to do exactly as you suggested; play as many different shapes as I can. Hopefully, I will find something that I can't live without.

I have not given any thought to mini jumbo's, but I will try some.
