I just joined the forum, I recently picked up a I think a T-50 & X 500, at a rummage shop...I always thought Gibson was the one and only untill I bought these matched set of Blonde archtops and read about Guilds rich history and heritage.I look forward to enjoying this forum. The T50 plays like butter I really like the neck. Cheers! Pictures will come later.

I got to get the X-500 cleaned up...What I thought was cool.. when I got it home and looked in the case pocket, the original warranty and owners book were there with the truss rod tool.. it was bought on 12/30/75..almost 37 years ago.she has beautiful patina to her and dispite the rusted strings plays like butter.I cant wait to get Blondie back in service.

Sounds like you made a real find. Please, pictures!

And, don't rub any of that great patina off the body. It's gotta' be great!

Oh, and send the rusty strings to a bass player. :)
