Found your site when I started looking for a new guitar, seemed like a real nice place, lots of friendly helpful people. So, when I ended up getting a D30, I figured I could now join in the fun. Since I have had the enjoyment of viewing the many guitars posted on this site, I felt it was only polite to show a few of my new 1994 D30 in my first post.

This does not seem to be a very common model here on LTG, but it has a very nice sound to it, very bright and articulate. I was surprised by the fact that I did not play any Guilds that sounded flat, or that was not very playable. Every one of the Guild guitars I played I could easily have taken home, and been very pleased to have owned it.

Hey Ian, and welcome to the Guild family. Nice introduction and great first post. We really do love photos of Guild’s. That D-30 is sweet to say the least.

Welcome to the family, Ian. That is a great looking git, beautiful maple. I agree, it seems that Guilds are very consistently great sounding guitars, you rarely pick one up that doesn't sound good.

True....almost all Guilds have beautiful sound. Mine has a rare phenomena....it sounds better when my son plays it than when I do. Go figure?

Welcome to the bored....I mean, board.

That's Welcome and Wow!
Great looking guitar to bring to the forum on your first visit, Ian.
You'll like it here, and you already have folks drooling over something other than turkey and dressing!

Turkey Day cheers,
Joe

That's a great looking guitar, Ian. Welcome to the fold.

The D-30 is one of my favorites. I let mine get away and would love to find another.

Ian, Welcome. My D30 (as I always say here) is the best sounding guitar I own. It lives on the stand -- and I never leave for a gig without it. My Gibson J45 (the once main gig guitar) hasn't seen the light of day for months!

Great guitar, great choice!

You've got a very nice guitar - did you buy it locally?

Welcome Ibkuz... and strawbfan who slipped his/her first post into this thread (almost) unnoticed! That's a prtty piece of maple you've got there. I don't have a D-30, but I have a (relatively) early example of it's predesessor, a G-37...
