I never know where I'll end up when I start my day checking e-mails, etc., on all the various forums and listserves I belong to, so consider my surprise when I found a local luthier, right down the street, that I hadn't heard of before now.

Looks like he's passionate about what he does and that 's a good thing, no matter what your passion might be. Might have to check him out in person one of these days.

Enjoy this laid-back video, and I'll find a link to his website for those who might be interested in this sort of thing. :apple:

He seems to be a very likeable guy.

Loved the way he used a plane as a jointer, in the last scene.

I "met" this guy through the Weenie Campbell forum where he is a member. And I was impressed and entertained by looking at his projects and skills.

Lets us know what you think, Joe after you check him out in person. :friendly_wink:

All the best,
B.

How can one not like a craftsman who comes up with a bending iron made out of a pipe with a heating element from an electric barbeque lighter wired to a dimmer switch!
Just seeing his shop sounds like it would be worth the trip. Get over there!

And he's an accomplished musician too! A member of several groups including the popular "Gallus Brothers"
