Received my new amp yesterday. It's a like new, used black tweed. It has a gold speaker cloth which really looks great. This is a 5F1 circuit with a 12" Eminence Legend speaker. It has a 5 Y3, 6V6GT, and a 12AX7 tubes. This is all housed in a larger solid pine cabinet.
The first thing you notice is now quiet this amp is. It has just one volume knob, nothing else. It turns the amp on and goes from 1 to 12 exactly like a 1957 to 1961 Tweed Champ.
What a dynamic amp. Incredible tone. 5 watts. It is as loud as a 15 watt tube amp as far as I can tell. I think it is the best sounding amp I've ever heard.
I will update once I've had a bit more time with it. I just received it yesterday. With my Strat through the number 1 input it sings and growls. The cleans are heavenly.
More to follow.
