Hi guild enthusiasts, Sorry I haven't posted anything for a time. But I'm back. You can see from my ever changing signature that I am constantly adding, upgrading and selling my Guilds to find the perfect Guild guitars for me and my playing style. I have recently been looking for early Hoboken blond beauties. I really dig Guild guitars that were made during this period of the late 50s through the early 60s where I think Guilds quality was unmatched. Not that I don't love Guilds from NY, Westerly or CT. So far I have come up with these three. The guitar on the left, which just arrived this week, is a 1959 CE100DPB. As you can see the condition is very clean. It plays like a dream and the tone from the original franz pups is unmatched, IMO. In the middle is my 1959 X550. Again the guitar is very clean but has had some of it's binding reglued. The X175 on the right came courtesy of Zizila and according to her, Hans has confirmed that the bigsby is original equipment. A bisgby is not usually found on an X175 since it is a jazz box. As you can see from the photo all these beauties are in excellent condition and set up by my luthier for optimal playability and sound. Enjoy the photo and I will be back with more recently added additions soon. Thanks for looking. MB
