Cool. I've seen starling 'murmurate' around here but on a smaller scale. Thanks for the new word :)

*I have to take exception to the article's description of starlings as "tiny birds," because they're not. They're pretty gregarious and mostly obnoxious, and since they're not native to North America, no one likes 'em. 8)

No, but they are related to Mynas.
For the longest time, there were Crested Mynas nesting/roosting under the Granville bridge in Vancouver, but they seem to have disappeared. :eek:
