Thanks to the modern miracle of eBay (with a little divine help from Paypal) my former D212M (currently somewhere north of Jersey in a UPS truck) has been transformed into a 'burst JF65-12 to keep my blond company. I know from reading posts here that these things multiply like rabbits, so I'm keeping these two close together, hoping that nature will take it's course.

Marcellis has a breeding pair of F65ce's but hasn't had any luck so far...that we know of... Maybe yours will prove more willing than Panda bears though even that's not saying much.
Are those bridge doctor bridge pins on that blonde ?

Yes, those are Bridge Doctor pins. I use the pair just for visual balance. The top was in pretty good shape but I figured "why not". I'll probably put one on the 'burst too, just for insurance.

They sound like the same guitar, except the 'burst has a little more treble, the blond a little more bass. The necks are vaguely different too with the blond a little slimmer, the 'burst a little chunkier. One of them, the 'burst I think, is about to receive the Baggs M1 active I have sitting here.

I applaud your aesthetic sensibility. And as you said, "sure, why not?" Another member here, 12stringer, has posted glowing reviews of them and has them in most if not all his 12's IIRC. :D

There was a little tradeoff with the bridge doctor, in my case anyway. I lost some midrange, but picked up bass and treble. Sounds good.

Appreciate that feedback! Been considering one for my F65ce (SUPER thin top) and a buddy's considering one for his '87 JF30-12 which has had the bridge lift problem repaired once already.
