So in Mexico, "if it's yellow, let it mellow; if it's brown, flush it down."

Except for the toilet paper, of course, that must be collected in a brown bag and burned out in the compound daily. Yuck. Don't stand downwind from it.

When I saw your title my mind flashed back to my frequent trips to Oaxaca in the early 90's. Lovely area.

Not sure of the genisis of your post but that's a familiar saying carved into plaques or walls in the bathrooms in older camps/cottages not connected to muni sewer systems.

I installed a 1,000 gallon tank on the off grid property we own in the ADK's with proper field to avoid that.

Try backpacking in a National Park for a few days!!!

A segment of the Back packing community are known as gram weenies...the kind that drill holes in their cut down toothbrush handles in an effort to further reduce weight. They tend to avoid discussion on this topic. As will I.

I remember the first time I saw that album. I was at a friends house and he was blasting AC/DC through some large Bozak speakers. Not sure why I was in a foul mood that night but I was kind of sick of the rowdy party going on in his basement, the incessant assault from the speakers and kind of feeling, at 17 or so, that this wasn't my scene.

I was pretty close to his whole family...still am to his older brother 45 years later...so I retreated to his older brothers room in the attic. He had a small stereo set up and the Gorilla album was on a chair. Hadn't been a huge JT fan up to that point but I popped it on the old Technics turntable.

Mexico was a nice tune...almost barfed on How sweet it is ...but You make it easy floored me.

Gorilla got me to smile....

That episode would be somwhat repeated 2 years later when I left a horrid jock dorm party cranking Kiss and went to the stoners room. Sea Level's Break a Leg was playing. Lots of Nitty Gritty and Prine followed. Nice night.

Sorry for the veer on such a vital topic!
