Digging into the archives again and found this one of my sister and me murdering oldtime fiddle tunes about 18+ years ago in Greenfield, MA. Yee-haw! I think she just hit a really good(new?) note on her fiddle :lol:

Lots of fun, perusing through old photos. I'm slowly cleaning out my parents' home, & came across a photo album of my dad's that I've never seen before, from his Army days in the late 1940's. Lots of pics of himself & others, rock climbing & skiing out west (he was an instructor with the 10th Mountain Div.).

Greenfield MA, huh? About 34 years ago I used to visit that town pretty often . . . had a girlfriend who worked for awhile at a natural foods restaurant there . . . IIRC the place was named "Home Comfort", after the old-fashioned (probably wood-burning) cook stove.

Had breakfast with a friend yesterday who had recently met a hale and hearty 85-year old former member of the 10th Mountain. Those guys were/are legendary, so hats off to your dad!

My sister lived in Greenfield for about 20 years and now resides on the campus of Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT. She still misses G'field, though.

Here is a snapshot of my Dad and I in Stoneham, MA circa 1972.

Fall always makes me think of my years in New England too.
