I got to see the world premiere of that film at Alice Tully Hall in NYC, and even met Joshua Bell in the process!

No kidding, Sandy! Awesome. Joshua Bell recorded all the solos in the movie, right? That must've been very cool.

I remember playing some summer theater (trumpet) at Chapel Hill - Chauncy Hall school and I met Itzhak Perlman. I think his kid was attending the summer session or something like that. Wish I'd had an opportunity to hear him play.

Y'know there was a really great documentary years ago that went through the violin masters of the 20th century. I wish I could remember the name of the thing. I believe Itzhak and Joshua were in it, but it covered a lot of ground. Anyway, best wishes, man.

It really was a special night Charlie. And Joshua Bell couldn't have been nicer, much like when I had the honor of meeting Yo-Yo Ma, and he was the same way. Never had a chance to meet Itzhak Perlman, but the classically trained musicians seem to take down the "rock star" thing a notch or two.

Do you remember when Joshua was "busing" in the DC subway some years back, and nobody, other that one adult and a little boy, gave him any notice?
