Hi everybody. I've got an opportunity to buy a Mark I classical from the late 60s or early 70s in excellent condition. Is it worth my $575? Would I do better to look for one of the higher end Mark guitars? I have played other mahogany tops and I dig the tone. Is that top going to diminish volume? Thanks in advance

I would not pay $575 for a Mark I, nor would I pay $575 for a Mark II, III or IV. You should be able to get a Mark III for $300 and a Mark IV for $400. Be patient, there are plenty of them out there.

I agree, overpriced for a Mark I, although I might go that much for a mint Mark IV.
