Hello folks,
Last week I purchased a second hand Guild F50R with serial nr: CUV000288. A corona build and I would like to know which year it was build. What I found earlier on the forum was that Guild was build from 2001 to 2004 in California.
Thanks

Erwin

Erwin, first welcome to LTG. Congrats on your F-50R. I'm a big fan of the breed. :)

Hopefully Hans Moust will chime in for exactly the info you're looking for. What you stated already is correct -- sometime between 2001 and 2004 (possibly part of 2005, not sure).

How do you like your F-50R???

Hello Erwin,

Welcome! At this point I'm still not 100% sure of the Corona serial numbers but with what I've gathered so far I would say that your F-50R with serial # CUV000288 is from 2003.

We would love to see some photos of the guitar.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Well, thanks for the superfast reply's. I found this interesting forum by searching for info of the F50R.The reason is I'm a bit impressed by the capacities of this instrument, and I became curious about the roots of all this. My story about is quite easy. A this moment I own a Martin M36, a Santa D/PW and I was in the market for a Martin J40 or maybe a HJ38 (Stef. Gross.). I live in Belgium and was going to a Dutch store who got them. Despite they're fine guitars, I wasn't really convinced. So I went back and stopped underway at another store where all the big breeds were present. After playing a PJ Eggle Saluda and a SCGC F, my eye felt on the Guild, I tried it and was impressed. It could easily mate up in every aspect to the PJ Eggle. A beautiful deep sound and a neck comfortable to my lefthand. Short but hard negotiations and it was a deal. It's a keeper with the Santa cruz.
I love to play country blues and they sound amazing with the F50R, everybody around me says it's a real improvement soundwise. One of these days, I look to post some pictures.
