Who doesn't like a lil' Hog?
Mahogany is a hardwood, spruce is a softwood. Even though mahohany is not the hardest hardwood, it's harder than most softwoods, including spruce. So, it's not just you.And is it just me, or does a mahogany top resist dings much better than spruce? I routinely see examples of mahogany tops that are flawless at age 40. Not so much with spruce...

I know the D15 is supposed to be the more stripped down version of a D25, but I am not sure I do not like the look of that one better than the D25... Could just be the pictures..
Close, but the top one is a D-16!
The bottom D-25 has a bit of an interesting story behind it if y'all are interested.

In the absence of Hans' Volume II the following info is from Gruhn's Guide to Vintage Guitars:Never heard of the D-16.
Yes, they will build the D-25 in Oxnard soon, hence they used Kurt's D-25 as the model!I thought they told me there building the D 25 in house ?
