Yeah, what I've read seems to indicate the Japan made Madeira copycats were pretty good, despite copies of set neck originals, like this, having the bolt on. I've always liked LP Specials & P90 pickups, so for $300 this is tempting, but it's ebay & a model I've never(that I remember) tried.

Yeah, me too. How much can replacement tuners take away from the worth of a Japanese copy of an instrument from another brand? It's not like it's an Artist Award, or Starfire anything! Maybe make it a better player? I'm thinking about it.

I'd be a little wary myself. It looks like it bolts on right under the neck pup, so...how much neck can it really be bolted to and how stable is that joint?
