When was this made?
How many were made in tiger paint?

I have found some info but none of these sources is 100% certain.

I cannot really make out the serial no because of the paint, but I persume this was done only at one point?

The Kahler tremolo has been replaced, its not factory made. (and its better that way I think!)

I do have some confirmed history of the guitar but I really wanna hear what you Guild-nerds has to say about it first ok? :)

Welcome to LTG Vinyljunkie!
The serial number list, which has known errors, shows the X88 model mainly done in 1984 and 1985. Last S/N 1984 was HF100285 and last S/N 1985 was HF100457.
Beesley's book, page 71, shows it as introduced 1984, discontinued 1985.
So without S/N it is hard to say. Is there a chamber on the back where maybe a label is inside the lid or even a rough manufacturing date handwitten inside?

I am not sure if it was really done in that Tiger print by the factory. Maybe it was finished like that later on? Often a label would say the color. Too much paint over the serial number basically means to me it was refinished. Otherwise it should be clearly readable. Look at this picture of another X-88. The HF100102 is pretty good readable.
